Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow.

From Northland to Wellington, also for Bay of Plenty and the central plateau: A mix of fine and cloudy periods with a few showers, in the west, some of which may be heavy and thundery this afternoon from Hamilton north. Rain developing tomorrow.

For Gisborne to Wairarapa: Mostly fine weather today but cloud increasing tomorrow with rain or showers developing later.

Nelson and Marlborough: A few showers about the western ranges of Nelson, elsewhere long fine periods. One or two showers at times tomorrow with southeasterly winds developing.

South Island west coast: A few showers at times but becoming fine tomorrow.

For Canterbury and Otago, also for Southland: Mostly fine weather. A few showers and southeasterly winds developing tomorrow.

Chatham Islands: Drizzly rain.
