Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tonight:

Northland and Auckland: Cloudy with showers clearing from most places this morning.

Taihape, Gisborne and Hawkes Bay: Mostly cloudy with showers.

Wellington and Wairarapa, also for the Kaikoura Coast: Cloud and light showers continuing.

Remaining North Island areas: Mainly fine and frosty, lingering showers clearing this morning in the west from Waikato to Manawatu.

For Nelson, inland areas of Marlborough, also for the South Island west coast and Southland: Mostly fine and frosty.

Canterbury and Otago: Fine and frosty inland, cloudy about the coast with drizzle patches.

Chatham Islands: Showery.
