Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tonight:

Northland and Auckland: Cloud and a few light showers clearing this morning and becoming mainly fine.

Taihape, Gisborne and Hawkes Bay: Mostly cloudy with showers.

Wellington and Wairarapa, also for the Kaikoura Coast: Cloud and light showers continuing.

Remaining North Island areas: Mainly fine and frosty, a few cloudy periods likely from Taranaki to Manawatu.

For Nelson, inland areas of Marlborough, also for the South Island west coast and Southland: Mostly fine and frosty.

Canterbury and Otago: Fine and frosty inland, cloudy about the coast with drizzle patches this morning.

Chatham Islands: Showery.
