Weather Workshop: Short forecast for NZ

Short Forecast valid to midnight tonight:

North and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu,
also for the central plateau and Bay of Plenty: Generally fine.
A few brief showers this morning to western parts of Northland
and Auckland.

Gisborne to Wairarapa: Coastal showers becoming confined to
Gisborne. Fine periods increasing from the south this afternoon.

Wellington: Cloud slowly clearing. A few light showers may linger
about the eastern hills this morning.

Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury and Otago: Fine and frosty with
a few morning fog patches. High cloud spreading from the west
later.

West of the South Island: Cloud increasing. Drizzle areas about
Fiordland.

Southland: Becoming cloudy. A few showers spreading from the west
later affecting mostly Stewart Island.

Chatham Islands: Showery.
