Short Forecast issued by Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow:
The north and west of the North Island from Northland to Wellington, also for the central plateau and Bay of Plenty: A few showers in most places overnight turning to general rain for a time during Thursday. Conditions easing to showers with increasing fine periods later tomorrow.
Gisborne to Wairarapa: Rain developing about the main ranges early tomorrow, brief falls then spreading further east in the afternoon.
Nelson and the west coast of the South Island: Rain widespread with a few heavy falls overnight. Conditions easing to showers from the south during Thursday.
Marlborough, Canterbury, Otago and Southland: Rain in the Alps and western ranges spreading elsewhere overnight then showers becoming confined to the south coast. Fine periods increasing in most other places.
Chatham Islands: Mainly fine.
