Short Forecast issued by Weather Workshop valid to
midnight tomorrow:

The north and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau and Bay of Plenty: Showers and fine periods. Overnight some of the showers heavy with thunder.

Gisborne to Wairarapa: Brief showers until early tomorrow then fine.

Wellington and Nelson: Showers and fine periods then mostly fine from early tomorrow.

West of the South Island: Showery today. Cloudy during Friday with late rain setting in about Fiordland.

Marlborough, Canterbury, Otago and Southland: A mix of cloudy and fine periods. A few showers at times, chiefly about the south coast.

Chatham Islands: Cloudy skies. Rain from early Friday.
