From Northland to Taranaki, also for the central plateau:
Showers and fine periods.

Bay of Plenty to Taupo: Fine apart from the odd shower in the
west.

Wanganui to Wellington and in the east from Gisborne to Canterbury:
Mainly fine.

South Island west coast: Showers and fine spells.

Otago and Southland: Showery periods affecting the south coast
and Stewart Island spreading further north tonight otherwise
a mainly fine day.

Chatham Islands: Cold and showery.
