For the north and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau: Cloud and showers clearing later today. Mostly fine tomorrow.

Bay of Plenty: Mainly fine. A few rouge showers later today.

Gisborne to Wairarapa: Showers spreading north reaching Gisborne this afternoon. A clearance from the south later. Fine tomorrow.

Wellington: Cloud and showers clearing today and becoming fine. Fine again tomorrow.

Nelson and Marlborough: Becoming fine today. Fine tomorrow

Buller and Westland: Showers clearing this afternoon, fine weather spreading north. Cloud increasing tomorrow.

Fiordland: Cloud increasing tonight. Patchy rain developing tomorrow.

Canterbury: Becoming fine today. Some high cloud tomorrow.

Otago and Southland: A few coastal showers persisting. Clearing elsewhere. Tomorrow, high cloud to most places.

Chatham Islands: Showery and cold.
