For the north and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau: Cloud and showers clearing tonight. Mostly fine tomorrow.

Bay of Plenty: Mainly fine. A few rouge showers this evening.

Gisborne to Wairarapa: Showers clearing from the south overnight. Fine tomorrow.

Wellington: Cloud and showers clearing overnight and becoming fine.

Nelson and Marlborough: Remaining areas of cloud and coastal showers about Kaikoura clearing tonight and becoming fine everywhere tomorrow.

Buller and Westland: Becoming fine tonight. Cloud increasing tomorrow.

Fiordland: Cloud increasing tonight. Patchy rain developing tomorrow.

Canterbury: Cloud and a few light showers north of Banks Peninsula clearing tonight. Becoming mostly fine elsewhere. Some high cloud developing tomorrow.

Otago and Southland: A few coastal showers persisting. Clearing elsewhere. Tomorrow, high cloud to most places.

Chatham Islands: Showery and cold.
