Upper Hutt Gets Airport Connection
From Monday 5 May the Stagecoach Flyer express bus service will be extended beyond Queensgate to Upper Hutt City.
The Stagecoach Flyer is the express bus service connecting Wellington International Airport, Wellington City, Hutt City and now Upper Hutt City.
The popular bright orange bus service operate Monday-Sunday, mostly running every 30 minutes. “The Stagecoach Flyer service has been a great success story in Wellington,” says Ross Martin,
Executive Chairman of Stagecoach Asia-Pacific.“ The Stagecoach Flyer has rapidly grown in popularity since it started in November 1999 and has already carried over 1,000,000 passengers.
“We are especially pleased that we can now extend the Flyer service to Upper Hutt. Upper Hutt people have been asking for the Flyer buses to run into their city for some time and we are pleased to now oblige! I am sure the Flyer will be popular for fast connections to the airport, as well as for quick inter-city journeys to Lower Hutt and Wellington.” Mr. Martin says.
Two additional buses have been bought and added to the Flyer fleet. These buses are air-conditioned and especially adapted with coach style seating and luggage racks. The Stagecoach Flyer has always rated the highest in customer satisfaction surveys.
Friendly helpful drivers, comfortable buses and a reliable timetable are the top features mentioned by customers in these surveys. New Stagecoach Flyer timetables are being delivered to houses alongside the new extended route.
