Temporary changes to city intersection this weekend

Transit New Zealand advises that there will be temporary changes to lane arrangements at the Stanley Street, Beach Road and Parnell Rise intersection on Saturday 21 June. The changes are required to allow for the investigation of services at the intersection.

During this time, there will be no access to Beach Road from Parnell Rise and The Strand. All other traffic movements will remain available, although there will be some change to lane arrangements. All diversions and lane changes will be clearly signposted.

Some traffic delays are expected and Transit asks motorists to use alternative routes where possible and to be mindful of traffic management measures.

The work is part of the Grafton Gully motorway upgrading project which, when completed, will provide direct access between the motorway and the port area.
