Auckland City youth Council Deputy Chair resigns |
||
Auckland City youth Council Deputy Chairperson, Zachary
Castles, is to resign his position effectively on Monday
16th July 2007.
Mr Castles' resgination from the ACYC comes after two years of service as a member. In that time Castles has served as an Executive and worked on several projects.
He resigns as he will be becoming more active in the political arena and will refocus himself on perosnal and academic matters.
Mr Castles has much confidence in the members of the ACYC as they have achieved alot within their constraints since thier creation in 1984.
Mr Castles has enjoyed his time on the ACYC and built life-long friendships but sees that its high-time that he moves on from his role as a member of the Auckland City Youth Council.
He does however perosnally enocurage the youth of Auckland City to hold the ACYC accountable as the premier youth advocates of the city. He believes that youth should become more active in having thier say and challenge ACYC to get out thier as well.
