Boaties please check your moorings

The Harbourmaster is advising all recreational boat owners to check their moorings as bad weather is forecast to batter the Auckland region tomorrow.

MetService expects the region to be hit by a severe storm between midday Saturday and midday Sunday.

Strong easterly winds reaching upwards of 55 knots are forecast for tomorrow, along with heavy rain and swells of five metres.
