Puketaha Road Accident Update

Six men are in a stable condition and under assessment in Waikato Hospital's emergency department after a fatal accident in Hamilton this afternoon.

Police northern communications said the driver of a car who died at the scene was being pursued by police when the crash occurred about 3.50pm. The car collided with a van, carrying six passengers, at the corner of Gordonton and Puketaha Rds.

The six men, aged 22, 25 - three who are 29 and a 33-year-old, have a variety of injuries consistent with a motor accident.
