Auckland’s Anglican Cathedral hosts ecumenical service for Canterbury

Auckland’s Holy Trinity Cathedral will this evening host a service for Aucklanders wanting to express their aroha for the people of Canterbury.

The 6pm ecumenical service is being supported by a number of inner-city Auckland churches, and leaders from those churches will contribute to it.

The cathedral’s dean, Jo Kelly-Moore, says anyone wanting to pray for and show solidarity for their quake-stricken southern brothers and sisters is welcome.

Tonight’s quake service follows hard on the heels of the cathedral hosting a unique and distinctly colourful event last Sunday evening.
