Wellington Firebirds squad to play Northern Knights

The Wellington Firebirds squad to play the Northern Knights in the second round of the 2010/11 Plunket Shield at the Basin Reserve, starting Tuesday 16 November at 10.30am, is:

Thirteen players have been named, with the playing XI to be finalised on the morning of the match.

In changes to the squad from the team that met the Central Stags in Napier last week, Michael Pollard drops out and Harry Boam and Mark Houghton are added.

Both teams will be searching for their first wins of the new season, with the Firebirds missing out to the Central Stags in round one last week and the defending 4-day champions the Knights drawing with the Otago Volts in Queenstown.

This match is the first of two consecutive home pre-Christmas Plunket Shield fixtures for the Firebirds who host the Otago Volts at the Basin Reserve next Tuesday to Friday.
