Orange take action for Christchurch
The Orange Group are donating, planning & supporting fundraising events and even helping out on the ground – all in aid of the people and businesses of Christchurch.

Like everyone else who have been following the disaster in Christchurch, Stu & Semele Robertson, owners of The Orange Group, have chosen to donate money and the services of their businesses in a series of fundraising efforts.

Stu Robertson, says “the situation is just so terrible, it is unimaginable.

This time last year, we had a team in Christchurch to deliver a very successful major fundraising event to benefit both the Christchurch Cathedral and the historic Anglican Church of St John’s Hororata. St John’s is the church that was featured after September’s quake, as it was severely damaged then – to see the Cathedral now...”

The Orange Group are in the planning stages of a huge fundraising concert with Air New Zealand. Orange will be donating one of their venues, catering, the event management services of their senior team and financially backing this event too.

Stu & Semele have already donated $1,000 on behalf of The Orange Group to the Christchurch earthquake appeal, and will also donate $1,000 dollars on the first day of every month for the next three months, alongside running other significant fundraising activities.

The Kids Party Company (part of The Orange Group), is also supplying inflatable equipment, services and crew to all of the Bunnings stores nationwide, to assist with their fund raising events and efforts.

In a personal gesture of support, Stu is on his way to Christchurch next week. “I am lucky. My close friends survived the quake, but I also want to offer my support, time and energy to some of our long term business partners in Christchurch, who have lost a lot. I’m going to be there for them to move bricks, cook sausages, do magic shows for the kids in hospital… whatever I can do to help out.”
