Hutt City Council seeks public feedback

2 MARCH 2011

Hutt City Council seeks public feedback

As part of its on-going commitment to actively seek public opinion and
involvement, Hutt City Council is to conduct a survey of its residents.

National Research Bureau, an independent research company offering specialised services to local authorities throughout New Zealand, has been commissioned to undertake the survey and report to Council.

Mayor Ray Wallace says the survey is important as it is part of Council’s commitment to taking a proactive stance in understanding and meeting residents’ wishes.

“It is also important that we use an independent organisation to conduct the survey to ensure impartiality.”

People living in all six Wards of the city will be telephoned, using a
randomised selection method, and asked their opinions on a wide ranging list
of services and issues pertaining to the Council, and the services it delivers to the residents of the city.

The survey commences on Friday 4 March, and is expected to be completed
on Sunday 13 March.
