TCDC seeks feedback

How are we doing? Asks new Council

As part of its drive to focus its future direction, Thames-Coromandel District Council (TCDC) is to conduct a survey of its residents and ratepayers.

"We want to get a pulse-check on where we're at from our residents and ratepayers," said TCDC Strategic Policy Manager Katherine Palmer. "This will help us measure ourselves against the new changes that are starting to come through."

"We're going to interview a cross-section of people and we're getting an independent group to do this for us to ensure impartiality."

National Research Bureau, an independent market research company offering specialised services to Local Authorities throughout New Zealand, has been commissioned to undertake the survey and report to the Council.

People living throughout the District, and also non-resident ratepayers living outside the District, will be telephoned using a randomised selection method. They will be asked their opinions on a wide ranging list of services and issues pertaining to the Council, and the services it delivers to the residents and ratepayers of the District.

Interviewing for the survey commences on Friday, 8 April, and is expected to be completed on Sunday, 17 April.
