Full Closure of State Highway 1 Northbound – From Nelson St to SH16 Onramp

The NZ Transport Agency advises drivers that a section of State Highway 1 (SH1), northbound, in the Auckland CBD from Nelson St to the SH16 Onramp, will be closed this evening Thursday 2 June, for emergency repairs to a damaged bridge joint. Links to SH1 from the Port up Grafton Gully and from the Northwestern Motorway remain open.

The work will be carried out between 9.30pm and 5am.

NZTA will have detours in place via Nelson St and Wellesley St in Grafton Gully and drivers are asked to follow the signposted routes.
