The state of our environment | November 2011

The last month of spring brought changeable weather typical of the time of year. Winds flicked between hot nor’westers and cool southwesterlies - one day temperatures were nudging 30°C and the next day sitting in the mid-teens.

The hot days gave us a taste of what is to come this summer so we are pleased to add recreational water quality to the monthly report to help you decide when and where to get your togs out. Don’t dive into rivers or streams without checking the depth though – river flows and rainfall were on the low side for the month!
