Christchurch Earthquake update for Countdown Supermarkets

23 December 2011: The earthquakes in Christchurch today have disrupted operations in our supermarkets.

Our priority at this early stage is the safety of our team and our customers. Our thoughts are with everyone in Canterbury.

Our Rolleston store is currently trading. All other stores are currently closed and in the process of cleaning up and evaluating damage.

We are hopeful of opening Countdown Kaiapoi, Countdown Colombo Street and Countdown Rangiora this afternoon and this evening.
