State Aquablacks New Hero!
Earlier this evening at Taupo's AC Baths, five of the State Aquablack squad met their new hero!
Waikato teen Jesse Reynolds(15yrs) was delighted to find himself training in the next pool from some of New Zealand's top swimming legends.
Reynolds has been wearing a prosthetic leg since he was two but that’s not about to stop him swimming competitively.
Jesse and his Fairfield Swim Club team mates are in Taupo along with 450 others for the State Epic Swim and State Open Water Championships (14 & 15 Jan).
"After seeing Jesse’ determination in the pool today and his hours of training, I reckon he’ll be the one to beat in the 5km State Epic Swim," says Kevin Hughes, General Manager, State Personal Insurance.
"It was great to meet Jesse. He's a real hero!," says Glenn Snyders.
