This evening the Waikato based Westpac Rescue Helicopter attended the scene of a bus roll-over on SH29 near Piarere.

Many people were injured in the accident and transported by multiple ambulances to Waikato and Matamata Hospitals.

First we flew a 53yr old Matamata women with Thoracic pain to Waikato Hospital and then were tasked to return to the scene to assist an ambulance with a 47yr old Auckland man with chest and cervical injuries. He was flown to Waikato Hospital also.
