Bringing the Valley to the City

It’s Spring, and Taste Waipara Valley, a boutique wine tasting event, is coming to the Christchurch Casino on 17th September, to showcase over 20 Waipara Valley and North Canterbury wineries, along with crafted beer, cheeses and other local producers. Sample many of the award winning wines from small, boutique vineyards, through to the most prestigious labels from this most promising wine growing region, barely 1 hours’ drive from Christchurch.

Keep up to date and try the latest wines, along with old favourites. Talk ‘One on One’ with the winemakers, brewers and owners. The special tasting is open to the Trade from 2pm – 5pm and later to the public from 6pm – 9pm.

Peter Saunders, winemaker and owner at Bishops Head Wines says, “Remember, there is no such thing a silly question.”

WaiparaValleyNZ Chairman, Geoff Shier, says “we are pleased to bring the Valley to the City again this year, to give Christchurch wine lovers and trade the opportunity to get up close and personal with many of our fantastic wineries, all in the one place, at one time.”
