HBRC appoints leaders to its committees

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council has appointed councillors to chair its committees.

At today’s council meeting it confirmed its committees for the next three years and those who will lead the various committees.

They are as follows:

Corporate & Strategic Committee

Chairman – Debbie Hewitt Deputy Chairman – Dave Pipe

Environment & Services Committee

Chairman – Rex Graham Deputy Chairman – Peter Beaven

Regional Planning Committee

Co - Chairman - Fenton Wilson Co-Chairman – Toro Waaka

Regional Transport Committee

Chairman -Alan Dick Deputy Chairman – Rick Barker

Hearings Committee

Chairman – Christine Scott

Maori Committee

Chairman- Mike Mohi

Councillor Appointees – Rick Barker, Tom Belford, Dave Pipe and Rex Graham

Remuneration

Council also confirmed how much councillors will be paid during the next three years as follows:

OFFICE ANNUAL SALARY

Regional Council Chairman (after deduction for full private use of a vehicle) $106,499

Regional Council Deputy Chairman $ 58,375

Committee Chairman $ 58,375

Councillor $ 46,700
