Ingleton Farms Ltd & Bel Group
Counsels for Ingleton Farms Ltd & Bel Group told the board they are concerned that Tukituki Plan Change 6 will reduce their irrigation capabilities.
They want changes to the methodology used for determining seasonal allocations and an increase in the groundwater allocation. They are seeking additional rules to recognise the level of investment by existing consent holders and better provision to enable existing surface water takes or stream depleting groundwater takes to switch to deeper groundwater takes.

There is further informal expert conferencing planned to discuss outstanding issues.
JM Bostock Ltd – John Bostock
John Bostock told the board he is concerned about the effect Plan Change 6 will have on his horticulture operations. He wants changes to the methodology used for determining seasonal allocations.
He states Plan Change 6 would reduce his water security and lead to him cutting back his crops in the Ruataniwha Plains.
John Bostock says he also has concerns for the financial viability of the Ruataniwha Water Storage Scheme, as he believes there will not be enough uptake from farmers.
Fertiliser Association of New Zealand/Ravensdown Fertiliser Co-Operative Ltd
Fertiliser Association of NZ Executive Manager Greg Sneath told the board the latest changes to Plan Change 6 address the majority of the association’s concerns and it supports this version. However he says there are a number of minor amendments the association is asking for to provide further clarity.
