This afternoon (Waitangi day) Taupo's Greenlea Rescue Helicopter was called to a mvc on SH47 approx 5km north of National Park village.

The Greenlea Helicopter transported a woman in her forties to Rotorua hospital with chest and abdominal injuries.

SH47 was closed for some time while emergency services attended the scene
