The thick fog covering Wellington this morning has meant that most flights have been grounded until further notice.

We ask that all travellers check with their airline or on the Wellington Airport website at www.wellingtonairport.co.nz on their flights status.

The airport hosted 29 passengers overnight due to the weather disruption.  The airport took their contact details, let them know of the emergency and safety procedures and provided them with an area where they could rest.
