Matariki at MTG Hawke‘s Bay

Matariki is a time for bringing the family together, celebrating and remembering our past.

MTG Hawke’s Bay is celebrating Matariki with a range of family friendly events and activities.

Entry will only be a gold coin so everybody can join in the celebration.
Matariki Story Time
11.30am, 1.30pm & 3.30pm
For ages 7 and under
Join us for a special Matariki Story Time and Sing-a-long! Drop-in for one of three sessions during the day to enjoy a classic Kiwi story.

Whanau Constellation Activity
All day – drop-in activity
Turn your family into a sparkling constellation to add to our window of stars.

Constellation Jar Workshop
2:30pm (one hour)
Ages 7 – 12. Limit 20, bookings essential.
In this simple yet effective activity, kids will create a galaxy of glowing stars inside a jar to take home.
