Update on Northcote College fire

Fire investigators have been unable to determine the cause of the fire at Northcote College in Birkenhead on Friday evening however they do not believe it was suspicious.

The New Zealand Fire Service says tests have shown no sign of an accelerant in the area where the fire started and the building was secure when the fire was discovered.

The investigation has now been closed.
