Boxing Day crash victim identified

A man who died in a crash on State Highway 2, near Whakamarama on Boxing Day can now be identified as Kevin Francis Keane.

The 70-year-old from Timaru was driving towards Tauranga when his rental vehicle crossed the centreline colliding with a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
