Winners announced in summer swimming promotion

Seven lucky locals have been rewarded with prizes after they cooled off over summer at one of Hutt City's six local swimming pools.

During the December-February Big Summer Splash promotion people of all ages could swim five times, get their sixth swim free and then go into the draw to win prizes.

2139 people completed entry cards and winners were randomly drawn by the New Zealand Police.

The major prize winner is 33 year old Gareth Landon who takes home a year's supply of movie passes from Event Cinemas and pool passes from Hutt City Pools, valued at $1000. Gareth swum and won at Huia Pool.

A Spank prize pack of goggles, towel, swim cap, swim bag and family swim passes was given away at each pool too and the lucky winners are:
