Road Condition Report

Central Otago is currently experiencing wide spread snow storms. Current temperatures are sitting at Cromwell 0.3°C and Alexandra 1.8°C. We have several teams out across the network monitoring and working to get areas open, please drive to the conditions, EXTREME CAUTION ADVISED, the state highway network has several closures effecting our network.

Roxburgh
– township is clear, hill country experiencing high snowfall, not settling at this stage so monitoring
- Moa Flat road, Roxburgh - Closed

Omakau
- Ida Valley Road – Closed snow ploughs/gritters working here currently

- St Bathans, caution advised

- Beck Lauder caution advised

Alexandra
– Roads open, grit applied to hill sections, caution advised

Cromwell/Bannockburn
- Roads open, caution advised

Ranfurly
- Dansey Pass Road – CLOSED to all traffic

- All other roads open with caution advised

- Ploughs/Grit trucks working Ranfurly/Naseby area
