Cardiac event, Waihi/Ngaruawahia

The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Waihi, very early this morning, to retrieve a man, in his 70’s, who suffered a cardiac event. While enroute, the aircraft was diverted to Ngaruawahia for yet another cardiac patient; the advanced paramedic on board was needed at the scene. After dropping the Hamilton-based, St John Paramedic in Ngaruawahia, the helicopter continued on to Waikato Hospital.
