Additional Flood Relief for 74 Taranaki Farms

More than 70 Taranaki farms are sharing $416,000 in additional relief funding made available by the Government in the wake of the June floods. The allocation has been approved by the Taranaki Disaster Relief Committee, made up of the region’s three District Mayors and the Chairman of the Taranaki Regional Council, David MacLeod.

There were 94 applications for assistance with a total of $6 million worth of repairs to uninsurable infrastructure such as fences and tracks, and pasture reinstatement.
