WOMAN ATTACKED BY DOG

The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter was dispatched Hunterville this evening around 7:00 pm for a woman in her 40’s who was attacked by a dog. She was transported by road to the nearby rugby grounds where the local Fire Brigade had secured a landing site for the helicopter. She sustained multiple bites and was stabilised by St John paramedics before being airlifted to Palmerston North Hospital. The mission was completed with the aid of Night Vision Goggles.
