Spring Clean For Starship

Last week to bid on items in support of the national children’s hospital.

It’s the last week to bid on some extraordinary items in Starship’s seventh annual Starship Spring Clean campaign. Some of New Zealand’s favourite corporates and Kiwis have got behind the campaign, with a range of items listed on Trade Me in support of the national children’s hospital. These include:

A personalised answerphone message by Lucy Lawless, donated by long-time Starship Foundation supporter and Board trustee Lucy Lawless
Lunch for two with Warriors star Shaun Johnson and a signed and framed Warriors jersey, donated by SKY TV
A limited edition (one of only 10) Dick Frizzell designed and signed Haier fridge, donated by the Cooking 4 Change Foundation
Exclusive use of a Mercury e-bike for a month, donated by Mercury
A complete collector’s set of the Little Garden seedlings including the just-launched Starship Petunia seedling, plus a one hour garden consult with Xanthe White and a copy of her new book "The Good Dirt”, donated by New World and Xanthe White.
Framed photos and autographs of Olympic greats Yvette Williams and John Walker, donated by Barfoot & Thompson
Dr Ted E Bear, a giant teddy that starred on Shortland St, donated by South Pacific Pictures
A netball singlet signed by the Silver Ferns 2016/2017, donated by Netball New Zealand
A limited edition print of ‘Charlie the Four Square man’ by New Zealand artist Dick Frizzell, donated by New World
Behind the scenes and meet and greet Crowd Goes Wild VIP experience for four, donated by SKY TV
A SKY CITY NZ Breakers signed singlet, donated by SKY CITY NZ Breakers
Silver Ferns v Australia Constellation Cup tickets and corporate hospitality, donated by The Hits
Proceeds from Starship Spring Clean will go towards the refurbishment of Level 5 at the national children’s hospital.

After almost 25 years of service, and no significant upgrade since Starship opened in 1991, Starship’s two general paediatric wards on Level 5 will be transformed into a well-designed environment better suited to optimising a young person’s recovery and wellbeing.

The Starship Spring Clean auctions on Trade Me close on 30 September.
