Investigation into fatal helicopter crash

The Transport Accident Investigation Commission has opened an inquiry into the Robinson R22 helicopter which crashed last night near Reefton.

It is our understanding the pilot was killed. Two Commission investigators are travelling from Wellington today to begin their investigations. They may be joined by a third investigator.
