 As per schedule, the road has been open today with traffic being convoyed between Peketa and Goose Bay until the 6pmovernight closure.

Inland Route 70 – REMAINS CLOSED FOR NOW
 This route is worked on by crew to reopen it as soon as they can safely do so.
 Scaling has been complete on the ‘top road’ at the Whales Back but it is still not trafficable. Water is still flowing over the Diversion Road with steady rain and the Mason River is being monitored.

Alternate Picton to Christchurch Route - Lewis Pass SH7 – OPEN – DRIVE TO THE CONDITIONS
