Resignation of Councillor Golightly

Today Jayne Golightly has resigned from her post as Denby Ward Councillor, after discovering that she is not a New Zealand citizen.

A by-election will be held in the Denby ward later in the year.

Jayne has applied for New Zealand Citizenship and intends to stand in the by-election.

More information about the by-election timing and process will be provided later this week.
