"Name release: Fatal crash SH27, Waharoa"

Two people critically injured in a crash on State Highway 27 at Waharoa, Waikato last week have died in Waikato Hospital.

The crash involving a truck and a car happened around 8:45pm on Friday 31 August.

Zoe Currie 17, known as Damien, died on Wednesday 5 September, and Brendon Christopher Wright 21, died on Friday 7 September.

Both were from Auckland.

Police’s thoughts are with their families.
