This is the current status of the local roads and bridges in Westland following the storm event of last week.
• The current priority is to gain access to the bridges between Hans Bay and Styx as the road is currently inaccessible and the bridges have not been assessed.
• There is temporary access on Dorothy Falls Road to farmland and lodge via Styx.
• Waiho Flat, South of Franz Josef is emergency access only. Contractors are coming up from Otago on Tuesday 2 April to assist with the clean up.
• Arahura Valley roads still closed: Humphries Gully to German Road, and including Milltown Road.
