Police can now name the man who died in a crash on State Highway 75 (Christchurch Akaroa Road) on 7 June.

He was John Owen McDrury, aged 58.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at 12.20am between Robinsons Bay and Takamatua Bay.

Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
