A vehicle is reported to have crashed into a barrier causing congestion on the Christchurch Southern Motorway.

Police were alerted to the crash at around 11:40am, near the Curletts Road off-ramp.

Debris is reported to be on the road disrupting traffic travelling in both directions.

There is no indication of any injuries.
