Tree removal work that took place this week on Mauao has finished earlier than expected meaning that the Pilot Bay boat ramp and upper car park can open ahead of schedule.

A closure of the Pilot Bay boat ramp and car park was planned for Monday 4 July until Tuesday 12 July, but has re-opened on Friday afternoon.

A section of the lower car park will remain closed until Monday, 11 July to finish minor tree processing works.
