Police can confirm the name of the young person located deceased in Eskdale on Wednesday, 15 February 2023 following Cyclone Gabrielle.

She was two-year-old Ivy Collins.

Police's thoughts and condolences are with the whānau and friends of Ivy.

Her death will be referred to the Coroner.
