Police are now able to release the name of the person who died following a crash on State Highway 16, Eden Terrace on Sunday night.

He was 27-year-old Connor James Lamb of Auckland.

Police extend our condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time.

An investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
