Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on State Highway 3 near Edenmore Road, Turakina.

The crash, involving two cars, was reported to Police at 7.50am.

One person is reported to have critical injuries.

The road is currently blocked and motorists are asked to take alternative routes where possible, or delay travel.
