Emergency services are at the scene of a serious single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Onslow and Hall Streets, Kawerau.

Police were called about 3.20pm.

Initial indications are that one person has been seriously injured.

The road will be closed, with diversions in place.

Motorists should please avoid the area, if possible.
